Idea
Develop an open Wiki-like platform (=online resource which allows users to add and edit content collectively) that allows educators to explain, share and discuss their ideas and approaches on how to present and teach different topics. It should be a tool where everyone can look up creative and inspiring ways of teaching specific topics.
"Currently, teaching is either completely exhausting or really bad." - Our objective is to offer a tool that facilitates and simplifies the preparation of great materials and classes for teachers to make great teaching easier.
Current Status

- Prof. Fochtmann, a marvellous teacher of biology, physics and astronomy has agreed to contribute his life's work to the public via this project. We are currently in the process of figuring out how to digitalize it all and make it accessible. This is going to be huge. Stay tuned for updates...

A public web application that teachers can use to share their educational methods. All subject matter of current curricula is provided as a navigational structure that enables interested individuals to add their ideas for explanations, examples, homework, group tasks, demonstrations, experiments, links to videos, songs and books, etc.
Teachers who want to prepare for school can use the system to look up a list of ideas they can easily implement the next school day.
The goal is to capture all imaginable approaches to teaching every single part of real-world curricula, to tremendously simplify preparation for teachers and to make school interesting, creative and multifaceted for everyone involved.
The system can also be easily used to share knowledge as to how the OLPC XO and its software (e.g. Squeak, Scratch) can be used in teaching situations.

Eine öffentliche Plattform, in der LehrerInnen sich über Unterrichtsmethoden austauschen können. Es werden alle Lehrinhalte aufgelistet, die in offiziellen Lehrplänen enthalten sind. LehrerInnen und interessierte Personen können zu jedem Einzelinhalt Erklärungen, Beispiele, Hausaufgaben, Gruppenarbeiten, Demonstrationen, Experimente, Hinweise auf Filme, Lieder und Bücher, usw. veröffentlichen.
LehrerInnen, die sich auf das Unterrichten eines Inhaltes vorbereiten möchten, können im System jeweils eine umfangreiche Liste an einfach anwendbaren Tipps für den Unterricht abrufen.
Ziel ist es, alle denkbaren didaktischen Zugänge zu jedem Thema zu erfassen, die Vorbereitung zu vereinfachen und den eigentlichen Unterricht für alle Beteiligten interessant, kreativ und vielfältig zu gestalten.
Das System kann selbstverständlich auch benutzt werden, um Ideen für den Unterricht mit dem OLPC XO und seiner Software (z.B. Squeak, Scratch) auszutauschen.
Goals

We are starting by collecting some great content and we will design a system around it. Maybe it will just be based on an existing wiki platform - but probably not.
