History of OLPC_Austria

It all started for me in April/May 2006. I was looking for a job and User:AndreasT recommended that I participate in the Google Summer of Code. Well, I wanted to earn a few bucks and so I made myself heard on the OLPC mailinglist. Instead of being accepted, I actually became mentor. So, all I got was this nice SoC t-shirt :) Well and that is how it started for me.

One year later I was at the CUWin conference and afterwards had the chance to visit MIT and the OLPC team. After talking with Michail Bletsas I was absolutely sure that we should try to pull something together in Vienna.
