The OLPC XO is one of the most wanted devices right now and we are getting an overwhelming number of requests for it. The truth of the matter is that we simply don't know yet if or when European individuals might be able to buy one. Quantities are extremely limited at this time and there are a lot of issues that need to be clarified in order to start a Give 1 Get 1 program in Europe. However we invite you to play with one of our machines at our meetings and you can certainly send us an email to be notified should there be an opportunity to buy an XO Laptop in the future. Some people suggested ordering via givemany and then distribute locally. But according to SJ this does not work. The givemany XOs are only for educational institutes! |
